Welcome to the

At a Special General Meeting held on 21st November 2017, it was decided to close down the charity Derby New Theatre Association (DNTA) and transfer its money and work to the Derby Arts and Theatre Association (DATA), a very similar charity that represents amateur theatre and music organisations and has, for many years, produced the DATA Diary.

This will mean that DATA will become the only representative body for amateur performing arts organisations in Derby, and consequently give the sector a stronger claim to be consulted about, and a stronger voice to influence, arts developments in the city. DATA will also take on (and indeed already has taken on) the lobbying role of DNTA including making representations to relevant organisations about performance venues for amateurs.

DATA has a website -
www.derbyartsandtheatre.org.uk - and will soon have its own FaceBook page. We would like to thank all Corporate and Individual Members of DNTA for their support over the years. This website will close at the end of January 2018

Steve Dunning, Chair of DNTA and DATA.
